Hoymiles helps Estonian project meet subsidy deadline
Microinverter firm Hoymiles has been credited with helping a 63.6kW PV system meet the end of year deadline for subsidy payments in Estonia. The firm provided its plug-and-play 600W microinverters to the developer SunWave to enable it to design and install the rooftop system in less than one month.
Elsewhere, the company has also launched its products in Sri Lanka via a partnership with distributor Macksons Power & Energy (MPE). “We are very confident in working with Hoymiles to develop ways to help our users safely build and operate higher-yielding PV power stations. What we and Hoymiles are doing here represents an excellent start in the Sri Lanka market,” said Sajjaad Saliheen, CEO, MPE.
Huawei inverter install tops off Don Rodrigo project
Huawei has confirmed that its 1500V string inverters have now completed installation at the landmark Don Rodrigo project in Spain.
The 175MW plant, developed by BayWa r.e., is one of the first of a new wave of subsidy-free solar plants being developed in Spain. The German firm is using Huawei’s 1500V Smart PV Solution, which is expected to improve yield by 1.5-2%, according to the manufacturer.
Trina sets up dedicated project development business in France
Trina Solar has established a project development and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) business in France. The company is putting down its roots in Toulouse this month.
France is aiming to install 20.6GW of solar capacity by 2023.
